Our Vision

"A hands-off approach"

At OHL Design, our team thinks differently about our clients and their end product. We dislike the notion that properties should be kept neutral and plain to appeal to future tenants or buyers. Instead, we believe in creating unique and stylish spaces that truly stand out.

Our hands-off process allows investors to sit back and watch the magic happen! Our bespoke packages are tailored to each property, ensuring they stand out in a saturated marketplace and generate the best return on investment.

Design Styles

  • Art Deco

A style that originated from France in the early 1900’s, art deco is characterised by rich colours, strong detail work and bold geometric shapes. A design synonymous with luxurious architecture and also seen widely outside of interior design and architecture, this style symbolises sophistication and elegance.
  • Minimalism

A style that says it all in the name, minimalism is a popular style thanks to its ease of incorporation into other styles. Easy to spot with its monochrome palette and simplistic lines, minimalism is a great style to emphasise a particular feature within a room.
  • Scandinavian

A movement that began in the Nordic countries in the 1930s and has since become hugely popular the world over, this design style takes a clean, minimalistic approach with an emphasis on open, light spaces and simple lines. Monochromatic and neutral palettes are mixed with shades of colour as accents. It could be argued Scandinavian design is a variation of Minimalism with an emphasis on simplicity and removing unnecessary features.
  • Boho

Bohemian of ‘Boho’ for short, this unconventional style embraces creativity and a ‘care-free’ attitude to interior design. Boho is typically a reflection of the individual however can be characterised with its warm earth colours layered on top of each other. Bright and patterned, Boho is one of the more visual and rich design styles.
  • Modern

Similar to Minimalism, Modern design captures clean lines with neutral colours. However where Minimalism strives to only use pieces that serve a purpose, modern design allows for a more spontaneous design. Open plan designs mixed with long furniture are popular features of Modern design creating an open and airy space for those in them.
  • Industrial

Raw and unfinished and taking inspiration from the wide open spaces of warehouse and factories, the Industrial interior style that is often associated with city apartments is typically characterised by its stripped back architectural details such as the use of bare bricks, wood and metals and features that are otherwise hidden in other styles such as piping. Flexible in its use and comprising of simplistic and neutral palettes, this style is great for drawing attention to a particular centre piece whether it is your prized wall art or favourite metal structure.

Wakefield

Leeds

A dynamic and bustling city, Leeds is the largest city in Yorkshire and has a varied mix of people that was often overlooked due to its once tired appearance.

Thankfully with a mass of investment bringing new life to the city and making it one of the most desirable cities in the UK, Leeds now attracts thousands of students and professionals per year resulting in demand for housing in the area some of the highest in the country.

The once tired public transport system saw a revamp and is now one of the busiest in the country connecting one side of the country to the other. Estimated figures show by 2033 Leeds is expected to grow to a population of 1 million.

Whilst house prices are continuing to rise and the demand is increasing, obtaining a property in Leeds is an excellent investment that any investor is sure to reap the rewards from.

Sheffield

A city famed for its industrial background and production of steel, the Steel City is an increasingly popular choice for students and professionals.

Attracting over 60,000 students per year thanks to Sheffield University and Sheffield Hallam, the city sees a higher than average retention rate with many of these students choosing to make Sheffield their home.

Large names such as Boeing, Rolls Royce, Toshiba and Mclaren together with the vast quantities of business parks makes Sheffield an ideal area for any graduate.

With the population expected to grow to over 630,000 by 2037, much of the investment in the area is designed to accommodate this additional growth and will surely be a city to keep an eye on for years to come..

Greater Manchester

A central hub that needs no introduction to many, Manchester is often considered the ‘London of the North’ having seen an exponential growth in all aspects.

Investing in Manchester is a no brainer with sale and rental prices skyrocketing thanks to domestic and international investment coupled with a hugely desirable infrastructure and cityscape for both professionals and students alike.

The growth in the city itself has had a knock-on effect on the surrounding area with the likes of Oldham and Ashton-under-Lyne becoming hotspots for co-living homes achieving very attractive return on investments whilst being easily commutable to the Manchester centre.

The largest area we serve by far, the Greater Manchester region is a hot market for years to come and there is no time like the present to seek your investment opportunity now.

Liverpool

Low property prices and high rental demand has made Liverpool an area of remarkable interest for investment.

Having secured over £1 billion of investment each year over the past few years, Liverpool is an economic powerhouse in the UK and is widely considered a cultural and historical hub.

With architecture widely influenced by the mix of cultures residing in the city, this ‘melting pot’ sees masses of local and foreign professionals and students flock to the city each year.

A former European Capital of Culture, various redevelopment schemes such as the ambitious £5.5 billion Liverpool Waters project is just one of many investments looking to make this historical city not just a desirable city in the UK but in Europe.
